Week 18
Greetings in 2020! Starting into the New Year, it is hard to believe our school year is now officially half over! Semester 2 and the 3rd Quarter have begun! Hopefully, everyone will start off healthy and well rested. By the time it was to start the winter break, there were only 4 out of the 14 fourth graders in attendance. Two types of flu really took its toll on every class. Those that were in attendance, finished projects for Christmas and even helped complete the projects of students at home sick. We tried some new holiday ideas, and one was a no bake fruitcake. The students had fun making it and each had a loaf to take home. We also sent a dozen loaves over to the Senior Center to be shared with the elders that eat there. Another new idea was to make seed ordainments to put out for the winter birds. We followed the directions explicitly, but they still did not firm up as they should have. Hopefully, it worked out once they got frozen. I know the one I made for the birds...
