Week 27

Weekly Greetings!

Well, the cold weather seemed to continue to keep the students inside last week! Even though the actual temperature seemed to warm a bit, the wind chill put the actual temperature below minus 20. We have been trying to get creative during our PE time, and also when the K-4 used the gym during recesses, with more structured activities. Some students had never bowled before and learned during a PE rotation one day. They also had a choice of badminton and volleyball.
This will be the last week of Quarter 3 and the current afternoon Pod classes. I have really enjoyed doing the Science Fair Preparation Pod, and now that the district Science Fair is done, we have been redoing some past experiments and making our own conclusions. Furthermore, we did some STEM activities, and followed direction to build some interesting projects.
This week, we are still planning to go sledding on Wednesday with our kindergarten "Book Buddies". I am hoping it is warm enough, or we may need to postpone the activity until after Spring Break. Not only is this the last week of the quarter, but also our last week before having a one-week vacation. When we return on March 23rd, there will be an early out that following Wednesday for conferences. I will be contacting you with a time to meet.

Enjoy your week!
